8 month old yorkie poo

£3,000

Nelly is an exceptional little dog both in looks, temperament and obedience
I am a vet and professional dog trainer and devoted hours and hours to train her to be the perfect dog.

She loves nothi g better than curling up on my lap.

I bought her as a companion for my 90 uear old mum who has dementia and is nearly blind.

I researched for months to find the best dog and chose a yorkie as they have such soft silky fur and the poodle as they are hypoallergenic and non moulting. Unlike most poodlecrosses, her hair is wavy, not curled and doesnt seenm to be growing so no need for expensive dogclipping every 6 weeks.
I have never bathed her either as she doesnt need it.

She has been in training since 10 weeks old and is dping really well
Mum has very painful legs and she quuckly learnt the command back so doesnt jump up.
Shes off the lead all the time in the park, has great recall, loves all other people , kids , dogs etc. She will still ocassionally chase the ducks in the park si thats a work in progress.

Shes vaccinated, fleaed, wormed and neutered.

Very sadly, mum has suddenky taken against her and, as she is black, calls her the devil dog and wont have her in the same room.( in her confusion, shes linking her with a black cat who came inti her bomb shelter during The Blitz) and i cant convince her otherwise.

I am gutted as i have spent hours and hours training her to be the perfect assistance dog for mum.

She has spent much time with a lady with learning difficulties and a non verbal child with autism who loves cuddling her. I have also trained her with hand commands as my mum is getting non verbal so WOUKD BE AN IDEAL COMPANION FOR A CHILD WITH AUTISM.

She is habituated to wheelchairs, lives with 2 other dogs and 3 cats. She is crate trained but sleeps at the end of my bed now. She loves the car.

She is 99% housetrained but we still have ocassional accidents but akways on the puppy pads.
Moral of the story is not to buy a puppy during the winter and definitely not a black one. Its impossible to reward her outside in the dark when she toikets as I cant see her and , if i shine a torch on her, she stops what she is doing!

She is not well lead trained and still pulls sonetimes as its been hard to lead train her with 2 other dogs. Shes used to lead walking near a very busy road.

Nothing phases her although she did yap at a guy sat down on the grass last week. I think she didnt know where his legs were!.

Obviously, she is still a work in progress.
Fully certified assistance dogs are £5000 to £10,000
Autistic dogs can be £30,000.

Her price reflects the hours and hours of expert training and will only go up as i continue to train her.
IM moving on to teaching her to help with emptying the washing machine etc.
To her, all these hours of 1 on 1 training are great fun.

Shed come with her bed, toys, lead etc

Excellent loving home more important than price. I woukd wish to visit any potential homes and ideally woukd like her to go to a home with another dog, any size, as shee loves my 2 dogs so much.

Id be happy to privide ongoing support and woukd like to be kept involved in her life.

I love her dearly but, as Ive not been able to work for a year as i care for my mum fulltime, I cant afford to give her away and , if i dont find the right home, she ll stay here.
