We want to keep BuyAPet.co.uk a safe and trusted marketplace for everyone. Please read the following rules before creating your advert.
1. Advert Duration
All adverts automatically expire after 4 weeks (Your ads may auto renew)
2. Types of Adverts
You can post adverts in the following categories:
Sell – Pets offered for sale (typically at a higher cost than adoption listings).
Wanted – Buyers looking for a specific pet. A photo is required; you may use a Google image for Wanted adverts only.
Adoption – For rescues and individuals rehoming pets they can no longer keep.
3. Creating Your Advert
Select the advert category (Sell, Wanted, or Adoption).
Fill in all required details step by step.
Submit your advert.
To feature your advert, select the Feature option at checkout (PayPal or card accepted).
If not featuring, click My Account to finish.
If you make a mistake, go to My Account → Listings to edit your advert.
4. Content Rules
Offensive, misleading, or sexual images/wording are strictly prohibited.
Violations will result in removal and possible account bans.
5. Safety & Scam Prevention
We manually review adverts where possible, but some may slip through.
If you see a suspicious advert or user, please contact us immediately.
6. Removal of Adverts
Posts may be rejected or removed if:
They break our rules or don’t provide enough information.
They are reported and found to be unsuitable.
At our discretion, if we believe removal is in the best interest of the site.

7. Appeals
If your advert or account has been removed in error, please contact us here and we’ll review the situation promptly.
8. Banned Dogs in the UK
The following breeds are illegal to sell, buy, give away, abandon, or breed in the UK and cannot be posted on BuyAPet.co.uk:
Pit Bull Terrier
Japanese Tosa
Dogo Argentino
Fila Brasileiro
XL Bully
